We always enjoy the food. The price and quantity it amazing. We always have leftovers. The host and service are not so amazing. We only come when we are craving their amazing salsa and nachos. If you can get passed the horrible servers, then you'll enjoy great food.

On May 5, 2020 I waited 1 1/2 hour for my food. I have been coming to burnt tortilla for 30 years and have never experienced this situation. After waiting for an hour and half I tried to tell the person who was bringing the food out to the people that I was there before everyone left outside which was at least 20 people that came after me receiving their orders. I tried to let him know that something was wrong he didn’t want to here what I had to say but he did take my name. I notice that he was still serving people that came after me. After waiting a while longer I became erritated went back into the restaurant and he ask me if I wanted my money back. I took my money back and left. Very unprofessional and shouldn’t be dealing with people, very disappointing (Guess I’ll start go to Ramona’s).

The salsa is amazing. They give good portions and the food tastes good.

Different prices for same item between the take out store and the regular restaurant. Manager explained it was more in restaurant because of the chips and salsa they serve. Right now no chips or salsa came with the take out order, so why the price difference. No dressing came with the salad. Don't think I will be going there again.

Not happy with the service. Food, ok. Margarita, ok. Service, sucked. Not going back. Was literally rushed out of our table by server who said he had people waiting, yet saw no one waiting. And as our 3 people group talked outside, No one used that table for the 10 minutes we were there. Plus 2 other tables that were empty. So at a loss, why were we rushed out ? Don't know. But definitely know that we are not going back. Ever.

I celebrated my birthday here today with my co-workers. Food was fantastic and prompt. Service was nice and friendly. Will be back soon. Thanks

This review is for the to go location by H. Salt. The food was EXCELLENT as always but I couldn't give 5 stars because the customer service was horrible. The guy working the register needs to be demoted to cleaning the bathrooms. I was asking him questions about the menu and he has an attitude for no reason. I don't understand why people take these jobs if they don't like people. Keep your attitude at the back of the restaurant and let someone who actually likes people work the front. If management sees this, I was here on Friday (Jan 30, 2020) night. This guy is going to cost you business. Get rid of him ASAP!!!

Quick service. Our waiters kept coming to check and make sure our drinks were full and our food was great.

This place is usually a five star. However on my last visit I was racially profiled by the woman working the counter. I took offense to this and I didn't like it at all. When I asked her about the question she had asked me, .she said it was not because of my ethnicity, but it was and I know it . Hopefully this will get to the owner and he or she can train greeters in some tactfulness. The margarita was the best and the food was tasty.

Ordered the green chili enchilada and taco combo and it was delicious. The taco shell was crispy and they give a lot of food so I had to take some home. Also the salsa and chips they give at the beginning are delicious too along with the margarita. Nice waiters as well.

This review is for their take out spot right next to the restaurant. The food is always delicious and the portions are more than enough. I think they should offer complementary chips as it’s very common with Mexican restaurants. I also hope that one day they’ll make a spicy 🌶 salsa in addition to the mild one they have.

I've been going to the burnt tortilla since I was a kid. I love the food. But during my last visit we were being attacked by gnats. When I spoke with the manager, she said she knows and they are trying to get control of them. She didn't have an answer for me when I asked why they sat us at the table where they were at. It was so many. One landed on my food. I was so disappointed. I brought a friend who never been there. I had been telling him how good the food is. I guess he'll never know, cause we didn't get to eat it.

Solid standby of sit down Mexican restaurant hot plate classics. This place has gotten more expensive over the years but the huge portions with free fresh hot chips and cold zesty salsa make the price point well worth it. I always come back with leftovers and a full belly. Best hangover cure around!

I remember how good the food used to be. Authentic, tasty and fresh. But this visit wasn't so authentic. The chicken tasted like it was from a can, mushy like Tuna. Please improve.

EXCELLENT and refreshing mexican food! Salsa was fresh with wonderful flavor. Endless chips and salsa from start to finish. The shrimp, chicken, and carneasada fajitas come with beans, rice, guacamole, and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. Each choice of meat absorbed their bell pepper and onion flavors decadently. The margarita was mixed just right and not "watered down." Great place to catch up with friends, enjoy good service, good food, and a good time with friends. I have been craving good Mexican food so long and am glad I was brought in to the Burnt Tortilla, where none of their food burnt at all.

Consistently good Mexican-American (Tex-mex) food. Very fresh and delicious!I'm there quite often. This particular location is take-out only, but just a few doors down (near the large parking lot in the back) is the other Burnt Tortilla complete with a bar and a spacious dining area. Both are great, just depends on what you want at the time. The prices are a little higher at the large sit-down restaurant, but the service and food quality is equally as good at both establishments. The Burnt Tortilla is a must-try!

Deliciously trashy authentic mexican food fit for Americans. Huge portions for every meal imaginable. Wait staff leave much to be desired but it is all made up for in ambiance. Try the sports lounge for cheap food.

I had not heard of this place before, but went for a group lunch. This is your standard Mexican restaurant with all the options you would expect...which has actually become harder to find. Everything was tasty and service was fast. Good to know this exists!

Great food and a cheap happy hours. Frozen margaritas and we'll drink are a bargain under 5 dollars for happy hour which is 3-7! Carne asada burrito wet with green sauce hits the spot A+++

I live in Michigan now but when I lived around there I wish I could really get one of my favorite which was a Deluxe CornitIas burrito. If I could afford it I would love to go there at least one more time. Great place

This is one of my favorite Mexican food spots have been going to this place for 20 years. I always get red chunky beef burrito with extra cheese. It's like two day worth of food. Menu is very well priced.

Great...QUALITY..Fresh Authentic Mexican cuisine Price was a little bit expensive compared to others but worth it...Service was Exceptional...First time at location...I ordered from the Restaurants ...Didnt notice they had a Takeout section...until after i had ordered. I had recieved my 2 orders in 40mins...by that time the Takeout section had a 6 persons line forming outside...My overall experience was Great...will be back..to try other delicious items...

Very pleased with the service there. They always have great food and service....even today when I had my 50th birthday luncheon with 30+ people. So grateful everything went smoothly. The servers were on it! Food came out great, drinks were filled continuously and they were attentive. Loved it!!!!

I’ve been coming this restaurant for over 20 years now and has always been one the best Mexican restaurants in our area. Great service with great food. And their chips and salsa have been consistent those entire 20 years. They have never missed a beat. Highly recommended

This has been my favorite place since I was a teenager. The prices have raised, but the quality hasn't suffered over the years. This is THE BEST Mexican food in southern California. Their machaca wet burrito is THE BEST by far. The flavor of the meat is second to none. Their house salsa is to die for. Perfectly spicy with a fresh kick. The Burnt Tortilla will forever be my favorite Mexican food restaurant.

The food was delicious as always. The takeout tastes better than the restaurant. The only negative was that the service was super slow.

I had 3 soft 🌮 tacos at 12:00 noon! WOW it’s 8:00pm and I’m still full! $4.25 seems high for 1 taco but, they stuff these tacos good with 2 tortillas!So all the extras that fall off I scoop it up with the extra tortilla! I ask for 1 lemon n Serrano, and they honor request! Oh yes this isn’t that little fine chopped up meat that taco stands give you ! This is good grade ,good tasting chunks of meat! It’s cash only but, that’s cool keep me from running up my visa lol! I’m bout to call rt now and thank them!

Best mexican in the south bay. Especially the chicken tacos and fajitas. This place is a must if you want the best so cal mexican food.

Tried to take my employees there for our Christmas lunch, party of 7, walked out, the guy seating people was so rude I thought it was a joke. But found another great Mexican food restaurant nearby. Skip this place
